取离体牙制成人龋,用~(45)Ca之同位素液体浸泡,在自显影照片上,均可见釉质层在不同钙化程度之区域显示出不同程度之黑色,如自然龋之黑色最深,人工龋和牙本质之黑度相似。表明钙化程度越低,渗入之钙亦越多。也说明了牙硬组织脱钙越严重,相应地会得到更多的钙。 牙釉质由羟磷灰石构成,脱钙后其本身结构发生改变,即在其晶格的某一位置上缺少钙离子,这些缺钙的磷灰石是不稳定的,当周围直接环境中如有一定量的钙,经过离子交换作用,钙离子能渗入牙硬组织之钙化较低部分。 经以上实验结果说明以含钙之再矿化液浸泡龋,也会得到再矿化之效果。

Therefore, it is necessary to look for a simple yet precise method.Silver staining method was used and satisfactory results were obtained.The teeth with the artificial caries lesion were immersed in silver nitrate solution for a few minutes and then in formalin solution.In this process, silver ions penetrate through the demineralized tissues of the lesion and turn into black silver granules by means of formalin reduction.In our experiment, observation on the demineralization for 1, 2, 3,4, 8, 24 hours and also 4, 10, 30 days was conducted.It has been that the silver ions penetrated and into the subsurface demineralized interprismation space. Some yellow or brown staining around the black silver granules were also observed. This method gives clearer results than mieroradiographic method.

The macroscopically caries-free human teeth extracted for perio-dontitis were used in this study. The uptake of fluoride was determined in sucessive enamel layers after iontophoresis of 2% NaF solution, in vivo, for 20 minutes.
