This paper presents the laboratory sintering test of mixture from Waitoushan magnetic concentrates and about 40% return fines with acceptable quality. The result shows that at the return fines (0~5mm) rate of 35%~40% the high quality sinter with higher strength, lower FeO content and better metallurgical properties could be producted using deep bed sintering and afterheating techniques.
