The preserving rate,tree height,crown growth of the stands which have been block transformed by adopting measures(e.g.,using superior clones of Casuarina equisetifolia) on the behind greenbelts are 51.17%,2.3%,and 25.71% higher than CK(except 1.2cm lower than mean DBH) compared with remain-aged-belts.
With the methods of regression and path analysis, the correlation be-tween the growth of magnolia officinalis and soil nutrient was studied. The regression equation of the tree hight and soil nutrient is Y1 = 3.128013 + 131.7013x2-0.4580875x3+0.14913x5(R = 0.9789***).
The skewness turns to the right side during the young stage and borders to normal condition after ten years of age. (2). The kurtosis decreases with the increasing of the breast height diameter, tree hight, age and form-quotient (q_2).
Diameter at breast height (DBH) and tree height in the intercropped plantation were 50.5%-136.7% and 27%-59.5% higher than those of the CK, respectively.
The results showed that: 1) The tree height increment of the two kinds of forests were the same, and it was almost not affected by density.
Nighttime water recharge had no significant correlation with environmental factors, but was well correlated with the diameter at breast height, tree height, and crown size.
These kinds of equations were also used to fit the relationship between total tree biomass, branch biomass, foliage biomass and tree diameter at breast height (D), tree height (H), D3 and D2H, respectively.
Our study shows that the biomass of a single tree of each tree species is closely related to the diameter at breast height (DBH) and to tree height.
