    This paper presents the result of the study of interaction between multi-story space shear wall structure and foundations. The space shear wall structure is analysed by using the double extended substructure ( finite element) method, and the layered isotropic foundation soil with bilinear deformation property by the finite layer method formerly developed by the writers, This paper offers the general method and programs for analyzing the interaction of multi-story space shear wall structure and foundations, so that it can be calculated by medium-size computers with a memory capacity of 32k without any external equipment.This proposed method has been applied to a typical tall building in Shanghai. In order to study the mechanism of structure-soil interaction, the contribution of the superstructure to foundation stiffness, variation of stress in structure and box foundation, a lot of comparison of the computed and measured results have been studied.Preliminary studies concerning the effects of soil anisotropy have also been examined.

    本文在弹性范围内对空间剪力墙结构和具有双线性变形性质的层状横向各向同性地基,分别采用双重扩大子结构有限元分析和作者建立的弹性半空间的有限层分析,给出高层空间剪力墙结构与地基共同作用的通用分析方法和程序,使得在不增设外部设备的条件下利用32K内存量的计算机分析共同作用的三维问题成为可能。通过对上海一幢有代表性的高层建筑进行模拟计算和实测结果的综合分析,探讨了空间剪力墙结构与地基共同作用的机理、结构刚度的贡献以及箱基和上部结构应力的变化规律,初步考察了地基各向异性的影响。

    In this paper the impedance function of buildings with box foundation and raft foundation and the effect of the impedance on seismic response of structures are studied. A practical method for calculating soil impedance of rigid foundation is presented also. The effects of seismic intensity, building height, subsoil and embedment depth of foundation on soil impedance have been studied. It shows that soil condition and embedment depth of foundation are the main factors affecting stiffness impedance and damping impedance respectively. The influence of soil on seismic response of R. C. shear wall buildings has been researched also. It shows that the decisive factor affecting the response of soil-structure system is the ratio between the fundamental period of structure system and the predominant period of input ground motion.
