The development of all kinds of burnable absorbers in light water reactors and the performances of gadolinium are introduced.The considerations of using gadolinium as burnable absorber in the 200MW Nuclear Heating Reactor (NHR 200)are introduced.The performances of different gadolinia content fuel rods in steady operation are studied with the analysis code named FRAPCON 2,which is used in the pressurized water reactor(PWR).It is demonstrated that NHR 200 gadolinia fuel rods can successfully satisfy the requirement of design criteria and possess more margins in safety.It should be considered that the radial power distribution of gadolinia fuel rod changes with the burnup due to the self shielding effect of gadolinium,which makes the center temperature of the pellet higher.It results in the more danger of gadolinia fuel rod than general fuel rod with the same power history.

介绍了轻水堆可燃毒物的发展和钆可燃毒物的各种性能。采用压水堆核电厂燃料元件稳态分析程序FRAPCON2,分析了200MW核供热堆(NHR200)采用含钆可燃毒物棒(钆棒)的各种设计考虑,并根据其设计参数,对不同含钆量的可燃毒物棒进行了稳态工况的性能分析。结果表明,NHR200含钆可燃毒物棒能很好地满足堆芯设计要求,并且有较大的安全裕度。值得注意的是,由于钆是强中子吸收剂,存在着自屏效应,引起钆棒径向功率分布随时间变化,造成芯块中心温度峰值更高,其结果造成相同功率的钆棒比普通燃料棒危险。
