Hydrodynamic behavior of HY-Contact valve tray has been studied on a 1000×150 mm2 rectangular laboratory tray model by using air and water. The primary experimemtal results about dry tray pressure drop, wet tray total pressure drop, entrainment and weeping are reported. Empirical correlations are proposed. Some new phenomena have been observed and interpreted.

A study has been made of the effects of weir height,vapor flow-rate and concentration on the distillation efficiency of M.D. trays and the comparison of M.D. trays with single-path sieve trays in respects of distillation efficiency, flexibility, tray pressure drop,operating loading, operating stability, etc. The experimental results indicate that the performance of M.D. trays is superior to that of single-path sieve trays. A study has been made of the effects of weir height,vapor flow-rate and concentration on the distillation efficiency of M.D. trays and the comparison of M.D. trays with single-path sieve trays in respects of distillation efficiency, flexibility, tray pressure drop,operating loading, operating stability, etc. The experimental results indicate that the performance of M.D. trays is superior to that of single-path sieve trays. According to these results, we came to the conclusions that if M.D. trays are used to replace the existing trays, they could increase column throughput, decrease energy consumption, improve the operation of a distillation column and guarantee the stability of the purity of desired products.

本文主要研究堰高、负荷、浓度等因素对M.D.筛板精馏效率的影响,以及与相应结构的单溢流筛板在精馏效率、操作弹性、湿板压降、处理能力、操作稳定性等方面进行的对比。实验结果表明:M.D.筛板的热模性能比单溢流筛板优越,用它来改造旧塔,可以强化生产,节省能耗,改善操作,保证产品质量稳定。
