Screening for source of resistance of soybeans of leaf feeding insects (LFI) was carried out in 1983, 1989, 1990, and 1992 1994 in Nanjing. Screening for source of resistance of soybeans of leaf feeding insects (LFI) was carried out in 1983, 1989, 1990, and 1992 1994 in Nanjing. Out of 6724 soybean germplasm accessions, 20 genotypes were identified to be highly resistant to LFI, including N2549 2, N1178 2 2, N5454 3, N3697, N3039. and N4908 with resistance mainly to bean pyralid, mugwort looper and cotton worm, N21400, N10403, N3018, N3400 1, N3854, N4029 3, N3155 1, and N2395 with resistance mainly to bean pyralid, and N5305 5, N3379 1, N21565, N20793, N23518 and N21551 with resistance mainly to cotton worm and mugwort looper. The resistance level of these genotypes in the testing years were higher than that of PI171451, PI227687 and PI229358. In the mean time, 12 genotypes were identified to be highly susceptible to LFI, including N20839, N20955, N21266, N117 1, N119 1, N681 1, N1327, N21550(mainly to bean pyralid), and N20865, N3289, N10172 2, and N20922(mainly to cotton worm and mugwort looper).

The 39 resistant and susceptible soybean varieties screened out from 6724 accessions were further examined for their resistance to the natural population of leaf feeding insects in the field according to their defoliation percentage in 1993~1996.The result showed that the resistance of soybean to leaf feeding insects (LFI) was significantly different in varieties and years,out of 39 soybean germplasm accessions,five genotypes were identified to be highly resistant to LFI,twelve were resistant,six were mediate,seven...

The 39 resistant and susceptible soybean varieties screened out from 6724 accessions were further examined for their resistance to the natural population of leaf feeding insects in the field according to their defoliation percentage in 1993~1996.The result showed that the resistance of soybean to leaf feeding insects (LFI) was significantly different in varieties and years,out of 39 soybean germplasm accessions,five genotypes were identified to be highly resistant to LFI,twelve were resistant,six were mediate,seven were susceptible and nine were highly susceptible. The ovipositional preference of four main leaf feeders, mugwort looper〔Ascotis selenaria (Schiffermuller et Denis)〕, bean pyralid〔Lamprosema indicata (Fabricius)〕, cotton worm〔Prodenia litura(Fabricius)〕, globular stink bug〔Megacopta cribraria (fabricius)〕, on the three resistant(N5154 3,N3967,N2549 2) and three susceptible (N119 1, N122,N20839) materials was also observed in the field. Specific experiment was made in laboratory for antibiosis to cotton worm. The results showed that foliage consumption of resistant and susceptible soybean varieties was significantly different. The developmental parameters of the insects on susceptible varieties, such as larvae weight and pupal weight were significantly greater and larvae mortality and larvae developmental period were significantly less than those on the resistant varieties. The mechanism of resistance of soybean to leaf feeding insects, including antibiosis and ovipositional preference, was demonstrated,but the former was more important than the latter. The inheritance of soybean resistance to cotton worm was carried out in net room under inoculation condition. The heritability values of major gene and polygene were different at various growing date. The heritability value of major gene varied was from 50% to 70%, but only one major gene was shown, and those of polygene varied from 10% to 30%.

1993~1996 年,在田间自然虫源条件下,鉴定了39 份材料对食叶性害虫的抗性表现。结果表明,品种之间、年份之间的抗虫性有着显著的差异;品种与年份之间互作显著。大豆对食叶性害虫的抗性机制以抗生性为主,抗虫品种表现为着卵量较少、幼虫取食量减少、体重变小、死亡率增加、历期延长和蛹重减少等。在网室人工接虫条件下,大豆对斜纹夜蛾抗性的遗传,表现出主基因+ 多基因控制的遗传模式,抗性表现为显性。在不同生长时期,抗性遗传表现有所差异,主基因方差和多基因方差、主基因遗传率和多基因遗传率不同,但都存在着一对主基因。主基因的遗传率较高,一般在50% ~70% 之间,多基因的遗传率相对较低,只有10% ~30% , 抗虫性的遗传变异以主基因变异为主,多基因变异为辅。
