Results:The diagnostic accuracy rate of mammography about benign breast lesions, breast tumors and early breast cancer were separately 93.10%, 93.75% and 78.13%, and that of near infrared light scanning 72.41%, 73.44% and 57.81%.
Two thousand eight hundred and fifty breasts received B-mode ultrasonic scanning during the period from 1976 through 1983. The correct ultrasonic diagnostic rate was 92.46% (345 casea) on the basis of and with the comparison with the postoperative and pathological findings. Of them, the correct ultasonic diagnostic rate for early breast cancer was 87.69% (65 cases) .
Methods:From June1990to April2000,125cases of early breast cancer were operat-ed by quadrantectomy and axillary dissection. Among them,stage0(T 0 N 0 M 0 )was3cases,stageⅠ(T 1 N 0-1 aM 0 )89cases and stageⅡ(T 2 N 0-1 aM 0 )33cases.
Furthermore, papillomatosis considered to possess malignant potential were also found in 5 cases of this series. Therefore, excisional biopsy of locally thickened breast tissue may provide leads in tracing precancerous lesions as well as detecting early breast cancer.
Conclusion CA-15-3 and CEA are not ideal tumor marker in diagnosing early breast cancer, but their expression are correlated significantly with tumor staging, organ metastasis and lymphaden metastasis; they have important value in forecasting tumor metastasis, recurrence and monitoring curative effect and judging prognosis, their expression had no tissue and cell specificity.
