Attention should be made when a high gravity-arch dam under such a geologic condition and some other unfavorable topographic features is to be built.Two problems the stabilities of arch dam abutments and the special treatments of the faults above mentioned including in our design process are discussed briefly and preliminarily in this paper.Though the geologic condition is complicated, yet after various calculations, experimental studies and analyses, it is reliable that both the stabilities and deformations of both abutments will meet the requirements of smooth functioning of the dam in the future, provided that careful treatments and investigations are to be carried out continuously in days to come.

Result of the study shows that formationing of a gravitational gradient zone is not yet completed along the central segment of that fault zone, and that gravity anomalies and crustal structural differences arc obvious along both flanks of that fault segment. Higher gravity values and thinner crust can be found at the axial localities of the fault zone. Finally, the possible reasons responsible for the gravity anomalies and the crustal structural differences of he Tancheng-Lujiang fault zone is discussed referring to the results of geological studies.

本文利用作者在郯庐断裂带中段地区布设的三条重力剖面,以及有关的重力资料,分析了该地带的重力异常特征;计算了地壳厚度。结果表明:沿断裂带中段未形成一条完整的重力梯级带;在其两侧,重力异常与地壳构造差异较明显;在该断裂带存在着轴部重力高与地壳减薄。结合地质研究成果,讨论了造成该断裂带重力异常与地壳构造特征的可能原因。
