The complex of Yttrium picrate with 1 8 - crown - 6 ether has been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductance measurement, infrared spectra, HNMR spectra and X-ray powder diffractometry. The complex is formularized to be [Y(Pic)3]3 ·(18C6)2 ·5H2O. The ratio of the metal ion/crown ether is 3 : 2.
