This article analysis the off-design characteristics of the heat exchange components in heat recovery boiler when the parameters of waste gas change. In connection with practical engineering examples the authors present a three-element water-level automatic control system for a heat-recovery boiler drum, which incorporates a programmable resulator. Given in the paper are calibration formulas and the control sequence of the said control system.
