At an optimal condition of temperature 120℃ , WHSV 2h 1 and the ratio of ethyl alcohol to tert-butyl alcohol 1.5 : 1.0, the conversion of tert-butyl alcohol was 64. 46% and the selectivity of ETBE reached 83.17%.
In this paper, SO_4~(2-)/γ-Al_2O_3 solid superacid catalysts were prepared by impregnation, and ETBE was gas-phase synthesed by tert-butyl alcohol and ethanol on SO_4~(2-)/γ-Al_2O_3 solid superacid catalysts.

In view of the inferior oxidation resistance of furfural in lube oil refining system, an anti-oxidant DBPC (2, 6-Di-tert-butyl-para-cresol) was added into furfural and tests for the lube-stock from Daqing crude were carried out in both bench-scale batch and continuous extraction units.
