Polyclonal antibody to butachlor was prepared from rabbits immunized with butachlor\|BSA conjugate,and a competitive ELISA was developed for the detection of the butachlor (a major component in a herbicide) within the range of 1×10 -9 ~100×10 -9 ?mg/mL without cross reactions with the structurally similar chloroacetanilide herbicides,alachlor and acetochlor.This method could also be used to monitor the butachlor concentration of water samples from rice field.
