Microstructure that subjected to multiple stage treatment is tinier than ones that subjected to ion bombarded treatment or high frequency quenching singly. After high frequency quenching for a short time, a brilliant white compound layer of ionic nitriding or soft ionic nitriding became incontinuous granular, diffused as compounds of ε- Fe2-3(N, C) plus γ'-Fe4N and Fe3(C, N), and so on. After quenching, martensite contained nitrogen is formed.2. Multiple atage treatment may thicken hardening layer, and increase surface hardness and abrasion resistance.3. After the multiple stage treatment, the surface of the part possesses higher residual pressure stress than one that encountered to ionic nitriding (about 1 - 6 times higher) hence, the fatigue property and use life of the part can be increased, its notch sensitiveness is reduced, and the development of the crack in the part is limitedThe multiple stage treatment- ionic nitriding treatment plus high frequency quenching can satisfy the needs of various parts for properties, such as the abrasion resistance of surface, overstanding heavily load or interchangablc load. This is able to increase remarkably the mechanical properties and use life, and would become one of the advanced treatment processes in the 80's. Hence, it will play an important role in the field of metal treatment

钢的复合表面强化处理,是将零件先进行离子轰击热处理,而后再进行高频淬火和低温回火的一种操作,属于复合热处理之一。经此处理可同时发挥离子轰击热处理强化和高频淬火表面强化的双重作用,从而能大幅度提高表面硬度、耐磨性,并造成高的表面残余压应力,提高钢材疲劳性能,延长零件的使用寿命。试验表明,经复合表面强化处理后,取得明显效果。 1.复合热处理表面强化后的显微组织较单一离子轰击热处理或高频淬火者为细。经短时的高频淬火后离子氮化(或软氮化)的白亮化合物层。成为断续颗粒状或锯齿状,为。-Fe_2~3(C.N)+r'-Fe_4N以及Fe_3(C.N)等化合物。扩散层淬成为含氮马氏体。 2.复合热处理强化可以进一步提高硬化层深度,进一步提高表面硬度和耐磨性。 3.复合强化处理后,零件的表层具有高的残余压应力(比离子氮化者可提高2~6倍),从而能大幅度提高疲劳性能和使用寿命,降低缺口敏感性,阻碍裂纹的扩展。 试验认为,离子轰击热处理+高频淬火表面强化处理,可以满足表面耐磨,承受重载和交变载荷的各种零件的性能要求。能显著提高其机械性能和使用寿命,节约电能,可能成为80年代的优秀表面强化新工艺之一而发挥其巨大作用。
