WGL-3 high power GTU(Generator-Transformer Unit) fault recording and supervisory analysis system is introduced,including the structure,function and performance of its hardware and software.The system is used to online monitor operation states of high power GTU,the front-end computer detects different abnormal or fault conditions effectively and starts recording sensitively,and the supervisory station has fault analysis software.With high speed data sampling based on DSP(Digital Signal Processor),multiple WGL-3 GTU fault recorders are interconnected as a fault-recording LAN(Local Area Network) through TCP / IP protocols,and the fault data compressed by Huffman arithmetic are losslessly and remotely transmitted with IEEE COMTRADE(COMmon format for TRAnsient Data Exchange) standard data-format.More than 40 systems have run on site,such as the Three Gorges hydro plant and site operation proves its better anti-noise ability and practical functions.
