The aims of this title are to investigate the superplastieity as well as the possibility of blow forming of TC3 titanium alloy sheets through experimental methods. A material testing machine was modified to meet the requirements of superplastic tensile test. The results of the expriement comfirm that the said alloy sheet as recieved, tested at a high temperature of 900℃ with an exceedingly low ram speed of 0.5 mm/min, exhibits an elongation of 688%, 27 times as great as that obtained by ordinary...

The aims of this title are to investigate the superplastieity as well as the possibility of blow forming of TC3 titanium alloy sheets through experimental methods. A material testing machine was modified to meet the requirements of superplastic tensile test. The results of the expriement comfirm that the said alloy sheet as recieved, tested at a high temperature of 900℃ with an exceedingly low ram speed of 0.5 mm/min, exhibits an elongation of 688%, 27 times as great as that obtained by ordinary tensile test. At the same temperature,900℃ , TC3 titanium allay sheet has also been blow formed into various intricate shapes by an internal gas pressure of 5 atm. It can be concluded that TC3 titanium alloy sheet as recieved as a fairly qualified superplastic material, and can be easily formd into any integral parts so long as it is subjected to a low gas pressure. Evidently, this new technology will offer more freedom for the design considerations in the selection of aerospace structure.

This paper presents the fundamentals of compulsory lubricant drawing process and puts forward the approximate methods for calculating liguid pressure in the die cavity and the drawing force in the process that are comparred wifh experimental results measured by means of electronic instruments.The limiting ratios of drawing of alloy sheets involving three different kinds of titanium and 30CrMnSi steel were obtained by a series of experiments. It is found through experiments that the drawability of some titanium alloys by conventional drawing process on a punch press is so low that cracks will unavoidable occur at the flange of testing piece, Whereas by compulsory lubricant drawing performed on a low speed hydraulic press can yield satisfactory results. Of all the alloys tested, 30CrMnSi steel has scored the best drawability.

本文介绍了强制润滑拉深的原理,提出了计算凹模腔内液体压力和拉深力的近似计算式,并用电测法所得试验结果作了比较。在试验中得到了三种钛合金和30CrMnSi钢板料的极限拉深系数。发现:几种钛合金在机械冲床上拉深性能很差,均出现毛料凸缘脆性破坏,但在低速油压床上的强制润滑拉深却很好。而30CrMnSi钢则是所试材料中拉深性最好者。
