Some results of measurements made in August 1972 of the solar radio bursts and the Type-I source associated with the active region 238 (MeMath 11976) have been obtained at Miyun station, Peking Observatory (working frequency 146 MHz). We describe in the first part of this paper the observations of radio bursts at 146MHz during the period in which the active region moved across the solar disk. In the second part of this paper the results of measurements are analyzed and compared with the associated S-components...

Some results of measurements made in August 1972 of the solar radio bursts and the Type-I source associated with the active region 238 (MeMath 11976) have been obtained at Miyun station, Peking Observatory (working frequency 146 MHz). We describe in the first part of this paper the observations of radio bursts at 146MHz during the period in which the active region moved across the solar disk. In the second part of this paper the results of measurements are analyzed and compared with the associated S-components in centimeter wavelengths. It is found that the daily variations of the Type-I source are correlated with those of the S- components with 2-day time-delay. This evolutionary relation could be a result of emergence of some non-potential magnetic fields imbeded in slowly moving (≈1 km/s.) electronic plasma clouds. From measurements of the angulat extent of Type-I source, strengths of the background magnetic fields are estimated.

Precipitation began when the low-level jet emerged from underneath the lid and ascended in a baroclinic zone associated with the edge of the lid. The low-level jet coincided with a strong geostro-phic southerly flow at the surface in advance of a low-pressure center, which moved from western Kansas to eastern Oklahoma during the 24-hr period. However, both the lid itself and an upper-level jet could have played a role in the low-level jet's formation and maintenance.

The experimental development of further search for magnetic mono-poles is discussed in this paper. No new candidates of magnetic monopo-les were observed recently. The experimental limit of flux density for slowly moving magnetic monopoles is lower than 3.0×10- (12) cm-2 sr-1 s-1 at velocities of 1.0× 10-4c~1.0× 10-2c with 90% confidence level and 4.1×10-13 cm-2 sr-1 s-1 for velocities of 10-3c ~ 10-2c.
