On the basis of technical data, the behavior of fine coal slime is summarized as having a high flotation rate and a low flotation selectivity.In order to improve the flotation process, following measures have been taken: 1.Using lower pulp density to increase the separation efficiency of fine slime.2.Rational selection and usage of flotation reagents in accordance with the floatabilities of feed ingrediants; using step-dosage method of feeding reagents to control flotation rate.3.Improving the flotaion machine to setisfy particular requirements of the process.4.Applying method of operation not only to improve the separation of fines but also to increase the recovery of coarse coal particles.Flotation indexes are given to show the steady improvement obtained as a result of adopting the above-mentioned measures.
