Under the conditions of large bearing capacity and the special testing site of piles in bridge, a new static load testing method,the self balanced testing method, is adopted. The main principle of this method and its applications in Nanjing New Sancha River Bridge and Runyang Yangzi River Highway Bridge are introduced. This method can solve the special testing site conditions and the large bearing capacity of bridge piles, which will find wide application prospect in bridge piles.
