This paper deals with the study of a crosslinking polystyrene which forms by a high molecular weight polystyrene as the main chain to carry out the graft copolymerizaion with styrene and maleic anhydride. Simultaneou- sly, it is crosslinked by means of epoxy groups of epoxy resin reacting chemical1y with carboxy groups of acid anhydride. Its solubility parameter in the poor hydrogen bond mediums determined by the maximum swelling method is 9.8 (cal/cm~3)~(1/2).The above mentioned comp1ex mixture has been prepared with glassfiber cloth to form glassfiber reinforced plastic through contact moulding. The flexural strength of this GRP,similar to that of unsaturated polyester GRP, is higher than 3000kg/cm~2, and it is excellently resistant to acid,but can be attacked by NaOH liquor.

The application of polyurethanes in the drop press dies manufacturing was investigated, for replacing the lead top dies. The results show that the die manufacturing period is shortened by 75-90%, the labour productivity by using the die is increased by 8-10 times, and the die survice life is extended by 10 times as compared with the lead top dies. By use of the polyurethane drop press dies, many parts of complicated shapes have been formed from hard aluminium and antirusting aluminium plates having thickness...

By use of the polyurethane drop press dies, many parts of complicated shapes have been formed from hard aluminium and antirusting aluminium plates having thickness below 2.5 mm and stainless steel and hard alloy steel plates having thickness below 1.0 mm. The shaped parts possess high accuracy in dimensions , good profile modelling, and smooth surfaces with no scratches.

聚氨酯用于制造落锤模,可缩短制造周期75—90%,提高劳动生产率8—10倍,与铅上模比较,模具使用寿命可延长 10倍。采用这种模具可成型2.5 mm以下的硬铝和防锈铝、1.0 mm以下的不锈钢和高强度合金钢的复杂零件。成型的零件准确度高,贴模性好,表面光滑,无擦伤、划伤现象。
