Malocclusion and dentofacial deformity in class Ⅲ is always characterized by maxillary skeletal retrusion and/or mandibular protrusion. It affects function and facial esthetics. An orthopedic mask appliance with class Ⅲ extraoral traction made by the authors was applied in 48 cases from Aug.1985 to Oct. 1991. The study population included 5 patients with deciduous dentition, 30 with permanent dentition, and 13 with mixed dentition. Malocclusion and dentofacial deformity in class Ⅲ is always characterized by maxillary skeletal retrusion and/or mandibular protrusion. It affects function and facial esthetics. An orthopedic mask appliance with class Ⅲ extraoral traction made by the authors was applied in 48 cases from Aug.1985 to Oct. 1991. The study population included 5 patients with deciduous dentition, 30 with permanent dentition, and 13 with mixed dentition. The second deciduous molars or permanant first molars are a class 33333333 relationship. These exhibited bilateral crossbites and negative overjet greater than 5 mm severe arch length discrepancies existed in both arches, maxillary skeletal retrusion and/or mandibular protrusion. The results of these 48 cases were very satisfactory. The relationship between maxillary and mandibular second deciduous molar or permanent first molar all showed centric occlusal position.Dentofacial orthopedics therapy is one of the most important treatments of malocclusion and dentofacial deformity. The choice of therapy and orthodontic force must follow the age and endurance of the patient. Also, exercise of the tongue muscle must be considered.

用自己设制的Ⅲ类口外固力预成矫治装置,对48例Ⅲ类骨面型错(牙合)进行矫治,疗效满意。口外牵引是骨面型错(牙合)正畸治疗的重要手段之一,应根据患者的年龄、耐受力及病情选择最佳治疗时机及矫治力,并应注意舌肌功能的训练。

The two-dimensional drawing were divided into a finite number of element.The nodal coordinates were then digitized by a digitizer and the two-dimensional images of the transvere sections stacked so as to produce a three-dimensional model of skull in a direction perpendicular to the FH plane.The model is used to investigate the biomechanical effects within the craniofacial skeleton by orthopedic forces.

选择条件合适的病员一人,采用CT技术获取其颅面骨(包括下颌骨)各层解剖轮廓图,然后选择节点,划分单元,在图形数字化仪上测量节点座标,对其编号后输入计算机,根据NASTRAN程序单元卡的填法连接各节点建立颅面骨的三维有限元模型。采用该模型,可以计算各种矫治力在颅面复合体产生的生物力学效果。

笔者对50例18~65岁成人错畸形的患者进行了矫治。错类型以安氏1类错为主,其中散在间隙,深覆牙列拥挤为最多见。38例患者按期完成了矫治,疗程最短者2月,最长者2年余.随诊半年至5年未见复发。本文介绍了不同类型错的矫治方法,并讨论了成人正畸的特点及其牙周病的关系.
