The electrophysiological findings showed that the motor conduction velocities were normal and motor-induced amplitudes fell down in the patients with periodic paralysis. GBS patients were divided into two types: one type showed nerve demyelinating change and other showed motor axon damage. The motor nerve conduction velocities were slower and motor-induced amplitudes fell down in demyelinating type, while in motor axon damage group, the former was normal and the latter fell down too. In addition. the motor-induced amplitude recovery time was different between the two groups. It was concluded that the above results could be used to distinguish periodic paralysis patients from GBS patients.

Objective:To investigate the feasibility of using amnion allograft materials and nerve growth factors to replace neurological materials in bridging peripheral nerve deficit. Methods: Forty eight healthy SD rats used as sciatic nerve deficit models were randomly assigned into one of the following groups: autografts (Group A), allografts with cyclosporin A (CSA) 5 mg /kg·d for 5 weeks (Group B), deficit bridged by amnion allograft with combined nerve growth factor (Group C) and allografts without immune treatment...

Objective:To investigate the feasibility of using amnion allograft materials and nerve growth factors to replace neurological materials in bridging peripheral nerve deficit. Methods: Forty eight healthy SD rats used as sciatic nerve deficit models were randomly assigned into one of the following groups: autografts (Group A), allografts with cyclosporin A (CSA) 5 mg /kg·d for 5 weeks (Group B), deficit bridged by amnion allograft with combined nerve growth factor (Group C) and allografts without immune treatment (Group D).The bilateral sciatic nerve allografts of the six Wistar rats were used as donors. Twelve weeks after the operations, the grafted nerve segments were observed under light and electron microscopes for morphological study; The latency of nerve motor induced potential and the peak of nerve motor induced potential, the nerve conduct velocity and amplitude integral, the maximum contractility of gastrocnemius, regenerative axons counting and thickness of myelin sheath were measured. Results: At 12 weeks, All the parameters in group A,B and C were significantly better than those in group D ( P <0.01). There were no significant differences among the 3 groups ( P >0.05). The regenerative neurological form and function recovered well. Conclusion: For long segment peripheral nerve deficit, using amnion allografts and nerve growth factor to bridge the deficit can facilitate the regeneration of nerve and functional recovery.

目的 :探讨同种异体羊膜材料复合应用神经生长因子替代神经材料桥接周围神经缺损的可行性。方法 :4 8只健康SD大鼠制备坐骨神经缺损模型 ,随机分为 4组 ,即自体神经原位移植组 (A组 )、异体神经移植应用环孢菌素A(CSA) 5mg/(kg·d) 5周组 (B组 )、异体羊膜材料桥接缺损复合应用神经生长因子组 (C组 )、单纯异体神经移植组 (D组 )。 6只Wistar大鼠取双侧坐骨神经作为供体。于术后 12周取移植段神经行光镜、电镜形态学观察 ,测定神经运动诱发电位潜伏期、神经运动诱发电位峰值、神经传导速度和振幅积分、腓肠肌最大收缩力 ,再生轴突计数及髓鞘厚度测定。结果 :12周时A、B、C组的各项检测指标明显优于D组 (P <0 0 5 ) ,A、B、C 3组间差异无显著性 (P >0 0 5 ) ,再生神经形态与功能恢复良好。结论 :对于长段周围神经缺损 ,应用异体羊膜复合神经生长因子进行桥接可以有效促进神经再生及功能恢复
