This article holds that the Input Hypothesis Theory and the Output Hypothesis Theory provide theoretical basis for the Networked Learning Environment (NLE) to facilitate language learning. With teachers' proper instructions and learners' active learning,language learners perform language input and output efficiently through the NLE and form an interactive learning process.
This paper,based on the modern foreign language teaching theory,discusses the current situation and defects of the teaching of college English writing,summarizes some advantages brought by the shift of the focus of college English writing teaching,the reinforcement of language input and output as well as the appli- cation of various ways of writing product evaluation so as to reform the teaching of college English writing and to improve the college students'writing ability.
By constructing object-oriented online English learning virtual teams, and launching ICT-based multi-role English communicative activities, we can create interactive language learning environments, which will promote authentic language input and output, and become excellent SLA (second language acquisition) places for Chinese learners of English.
