Aluminium plain plate-corrugated fin type intercooler of low-weight, high heat transfer capability and compact size has been newly developed in recent years. Through elements performance testing, the author has gathered heat transfer and pressure drop characteristics, and measures have been taken to guarantee operating life. Based on all these, aluminium plain plate-cor-rugated fin type intercooler has been designed, manufactured, and tested on a turbocharged diesel engine for hundreds of hours. Test results show that performance and structure are in good condition, and justify that aluminium plain plate-corrugated fin type intercooler shall be developed.

The main points presented in this paper demonstrate the transitions of working conditions of turbocharged diesel engines used for vehicles, warships, passenger ships, as well as emergency generators. In practice, the transient performance of a turbocharged diesel engine could be improved by means of using a pulse turbocharging system, reducing the effective flow area of the turbine, changing the sectional area of nozzle, associating with power turbine, reducing the inertia of the diesel itself and that of its turbocharger, improving the regulation of speed, and using additional energy of air injection. In addition, some examples proved to be highly effective are illustrated in the paper.

将正交设计用于增压柴油机的模拟计算,为柴油机的性能预测和优化开辟一条新的捷径。为了既不漏掉某些重要因素和有利水平的影响,又能迅速找出最佳方案,进行了三重正交表计算。同时并考察了各因素对柴油机性能的影响规律,以及各因素之间的交互作用。此外,还以四种喷油压力调整试验所对应的四个燃烧持续期为水平,进行了局部调整参数的模拟计算。通过比较,计算值与实测值基本吻合,证明了正交设计模拟计算得出的结论具有实际意义,正交设计应用于模拟计算是寻求最佳方案的可行办法和捷径。
