Stalk rot has been one of several major diseases of corn in the corn area in Shanxi province,since 1977.A serious yield losses from stalk rot were caused by the premature death of plants,by stalk lodging which res- ults in unharvestable ears,and by ear rots that develop on lodged plants. Stalk rot has been one of several major diseases of corn in the corn area in Shanxi province,since 1977.A serious yield losses from stalk rot were caused by the premature death of plants,by stalk lodging which res- ults in unharvestable ears,and by ear rots that develop on lodged plants. The yield losses were estimated by 15% to 20%. The pathogens were identified and known as Fusarium moniliforme var. Subglutinans and F.bulbigenum.The pathogenicity of the latter was stronger than the former. The stalk rot resistance of nine corn hybrids was determined and the differences of their resistance were quite significant.

近年来,玉米茎腐病在山西省玉米种植区已成为玉米主要病害之一,该病发生在灌浆期,表现整株青枯死亡,茎杆腐烂,倒伏。因此病造成的损失平均为15—20%。经分离鉴定,病原菌为 Fusarinm moniliforme var.subglutinans 和 F.bulbigenum,而且后者的致病力强于前者。本文还报道了玉米杂交种对茎腐病的抗性测定,证明杂交种间的抗性差异显著。

Based on study of the cultural characters and morphologica characters of the fungus, it was identified as Fusarium moniliforme Var. intermedi um Neish et Loggett . Inoculation of uredosori freshly produced on C. trichotomum with conidia from culture of this Fusarium resulted in discolored of the uredosori, an appearance rese-mbling that naturally occurred on the specimens, Uredospores mixed with conidia of the Fusarium in water suspension sprayed on to healthy leaves of C. trichotomum resulted in much less production of uredosori than spr-aying with uredospores of the rust alone. This was taken to mean the defi-tnie pathogenicity of the Fusarium to C. clerodendri.Potentiality in utilization of this fungus in biological control was briefly discussed.

在杭州和舟山定海采集得海州常山叶(Clerodendron trichotomum)Thunb.鞘锈菌(Coleosporium cler-odendri Diet.),而且有的夏孢子堆上长满米黄色菌丝,从这些颜色不正常的夏孢子堆及其单个夏孢子中一致地分离出一种镰刀菌,通过培养性状及形态的研究,鉴定为Fusarium moniliforme Var.intermedium Neish etleggett(串珠镰孢中间品种). 用分离得的镰刀菌接种海州常山叶上新长出的鞘锈菌夏孢子堆上,结果锈黄色的夏孢子堆渐变米色,其症状和自然界夏孢子堆的变化一样,用新鲜未感染黄色的夏孢子与镰刀菌分生孢子的混合悬浮液,喷雾接种到健康的海州常山新叶上,其发生的夏孢子堆数量大大少于单用夏孢子接种(对照)所产生的数量。

Four strains of Fusarium moniliforme Sheldon and five strains of Fusarium moniliforme var. subglutinans Wr. & Reink were isolated from moldy corn of Liaoning Province. Their cultures were toxic to ducklings and mice. Both the culture of Fusarium moniliforme Sheldon LBFM8 and the culture of Fusarium moniliforme var. subglutinans Wr. & Reink LBF-MV14 caused leucoencephalomalacia in donkeys.
