In the present study, we found less labyrinthine membrane rupture than others reported, Our studies show that the protective function of the middle ear may protect the membrane from rupture. The priciple and mechanism of this function seems that the middle ear has biofeedback effect, by which it can control the direction and the action point of the hydrodynamic and aerodynamic force. Spontaneous rupture of the microfissure in the window area is similar to a Iymphatic "shunt" procedure performed on a patient with Menier's disease.

The rehabilitative effects of elec- tromyographic ( EMG)biofeedback in the treatment of peripheral facial paralysis (25 cases) were reported in this article. The result of treatment was that the excellent rate of functional rehabilitation of paralytic muscles reached to 80% . The measures of EMG voltage and intensity-duration curve showed that action potential was consistent with the rehabilitation degree of contractive function of paralytic muscles. But the recovery of intensity duration curve was slower...

The result of treatment was that the excellent rate of functional rehabilitation of paralytic muscles reached to 80% . The measures of EMG voltage and intensity-duration curve showed that action potential was consistent with the rehabilitation degree of contractive function of paralytic muscles. But the recovery of intensity duration curve was slower than that of muscular contractive function. Under the guidance of EMG biofeedback,in comparison with general exercise therapy, the patients had higher motivation to exercise regularly for a longer period. Therefore, the curative effects were greater than those obtained with common exercise therapy.

本文报导了用肌电生物反馈治疗25侧周围性面瘫病人的康复疗效。治疗结果为:瘫痪肌肉的功能康复率优良的达80%。肌电电压测定及强度时间曲线电检查结果表明,动作电位与瘫痪肌肉收缩功能恢复程度相符,但强度时间曲线的恢复比肌肉收缩功能恢复要慢。在肌电生物反馈引导下,患者的主动锻炼比一般锻炼有规律,积极性高,能长期坚持,因而疗效较一般体疗的疗效高。
