This paper describes a method for compensating the geomagnetic field.The static components of geomagnetic field is compensated by a movable Fanselau coil. With the distance between clusters and the mean square as defined, the merging of two clusters with minimum distance gives a minimum increase in the error sum of equares.Simplified formula for calculating the distance between clusters is derived and an improved automatic hierarchical clusters algorithm with optimum at each step is given. The machine time is saved because of simplification of the complicated computation previously required. This method is useful to problems of timely classification....

Periodic error, one of the main errors occurring with phase-type optic-electronic rangers,often results in influences seriously affecting the accuracy of measured distances.An investigation has been conducted to ascertain the causes and properties of periodic errors of optic-electronic rangers while employing the widely used automatic digital technique to measure phase angles. A mathematical model of periodic error is derived, with recommendations as to how to eliminate periodic errors.

周期误差是相位式光电测距仪的主要误差之一,它对测距成果的精度往往产生严重的影响。本文对应用最广泛的自动数字测相光电测距仪周期误差的来源、性质作了分析;导出了周期误差的数学模型;对如何消除其影响提出了建议。
