This article introduces principally the testing of Halon1211 fire-extinguishing system carried out on board ships inour country. The testing proved that the system was highlyefficient in the extinction of oil fire, and the testing dataobtained therefrom have provided a scientific basis for thecompilation of Rules for ships in our country. At present, theHalon 1211 system has been employed on some of our ships.

According to thestatistics of some domestic and foreign ships, this paperanalyses the problems, such as the present state of ship's agein different countries, the influence of ship's age over shipperformance, the relation between the natural wearing of hulland technical service life of the ship, determining ship'sservice life based on shipping cost, the relation betweentechnical development and ship's service life. And it makesa suggestion that the service life of merchant ships in ourcountry should be reduced from 40 years to 15-25 years.

船舶使用年限的确定,是一个重要的技术政策问题和技术经济问题,它不仅影响着船舶的更新、造价、营运性能与成本核算,而且影响着修造船工业的组成与科学技术的发展。本文根据对国内外船舶的一些调查统计,分析了各国船龄的现状,船龄对船舶性能的影响,船体的自然磨损与技术使用年限,用运输成本确定船舶使用年限,技术进步与船舶使用年限等问题,提出我国运输船舶的使用年限应从40年降低到15~20年的建议。

An innovation of a sliding centerformcasting was first used in concreting the box girder segments. In the paper, thestress distribution in the particular sections is described, the results by spacemodel analysis and those based on plane-section assumption are compared, andthe deflection and camber of the girders are discussed. Some results of theacceptant test are listed and reviewed.

本文扼要介绍重庆长江大桥预应力T型刚构的设计、施工和检验。大桥共八孔,全长1,120米,主跨174米,为目前国内同类型桥最大跨径。文中对设计计算作了简介与评价。挠度和预拱度的确定与实际接近,并在施工过程中用卡尔曼滤波法反复校正。深水桥墩的高桩承台结构,用直径23.4米的双壁钢围堰施工。滑模技术在本桥应用较广,并创造性地推广于箱梁施工,取得良好效果。完工后进行了较广泛的荷载检验。大桥于1980年7月通车。
