Ore-forming material of the Pb—Zn deposits and occurrences located in the magmatic rock and along the contact zone was derived directly from post-magmatic hydrothermal solution, while ore-forming material of strata-bound Pb—Zn deposits and occurrences located far away from the contact zone was derived by remobilization in the diwa(geodepre-ssion) stage from the ancient platform sedimentary cover formed 340—900m.y.ago. The Carboniferous-Permian limestone is only an important ore-forming country rock, but not a source bed.

A study on the characteristics of regional geological setting, geologyof the deposit, isotopes of sulfur and lead, composition of fluid inclu-sions, and physico-chemical conditions of mineralization, all of theseindicate that the cassiterite-sulfide deposit in Beimianshan, Guangxi, isa post-magmatic hydrothermal deposit. This deposit had been formed byfilling and metasomatizing of the hydrothermal solution along the favour-able layers. The physico-chemical conditions of the mineralization are asfollows: the temperature from high to middle and low (355~103℃),pressure middle (800~1140 bar), slightly acid (pH=3.98~5.15), boththe fo_2 (10~(-32)~l0~(-94) atm) and fs_2(10~(-4)~10~(-12·5)atm) low. It seemsthat tin in hydrothermal solution had been transformed in the form offluorine-hydroxyl complex [Sn (F, OH)_x]~(4-x). The main factor had led todecempositing of the complex and precipitating of cassiterite as well asassociated metal sulfide was the reaction of hydrothermal solution withcarbonate rock, which had made the decrease of temperature and increaseof pH of the solution.

珊瑚地区地质结构的总格局是以葫芦岭构造岩浆穹隆为中心砥柱,外围强烈右旋并向南收敛、向北撤开的帚状旋扭构造。根据笔架山断层两侧地质构造环境差异,可将珊瑚区划分为东、西两个矿田。预测长营岭以南,大木肚、镰刀湾一带地下存在着隐伏岩体。该区控矿构造为长营岭格状断裂系统;而容矿构造则为格状断裂系统中的次级剪切裂隙。文章最后初步提出该区成矿模式的设想,即长营岭隐伏花岗岩岩浆期后热液多阶段分异,配合构造的发育,多次充填成矿。
