关于教育社会学的研究对象长期以来众说纷纭,严重影响了学科发展。本文认为主要原因是在确定研究对象的方法论上存在误区。并提出确定教育社会学的研究对象应充分考虑本学科研究的系统性、灵活性、时代性与本土性特点,应根据时代发展与学科建设的要求,从三个层面上揭示教育社会学的研究对象:在认识论层面上,教育社会学的研究对象是教育社会现象;在目的论层面上,教育社会学的研究对象是教育与社会互动的机制及协调发展的规律;在选择论层面上,教育社会学的研究对象是现实中的教育社会问题。研究对象的三个层面之间具有内在的逻辑联系,因此,可以在整体上将教育社会学的研究对象确定为通过对教育社会现象,尤其是对教育社会问题的研究来揭示教育与社会互动的机制及协调发展的规律

Reports on teleconferencing and teletutoring from various coun- tries show that these pseudo-social contacts between students can be effective for some, and it is conjectured that they may be of most value to combat feelings of uncertainty related to student practice or science content.

人们为了构建关于自然现象的普遍知识体系,一种有关人与人之间相互交往的理论随着社会学的产生而出现了。在传统大学里,人们对有关科学课程的学习在社会交往和远程教育方面作用的重视程度非常薄弱。而在英国开放大学,人们虽作了很多的努力,但取得的结果却非常让人迷惑不清,结果是夏日学校中学生的交流比其它形式间学生的交流形式更为有效。据来自不同国家的有关远程教育方面的报告显示,学生间的这种假社会交往(pseudo-social contacts)对某些人可能会有影响,而且据推测,它们对于抵制有关学生实践或科学内容的不确定性的情况可能会更有价值。
