The development, application, Communication Standard and system structure of the avionic multiplex data bus are discussed in this papsr. Special emphasis are laid on the hardware design, software design of the bus controller and remote terminal. By this equipment, measurement of phase jitter is made on an optic-fiber transmission system of 8.448 Mb/s. The speed of digital IC used in the design is the same as that of the parts used in the 8.448 Mb/s system, so that this method is valid for higher speed digital system.Since the ultimate measuring accuracy is limited by the accuracy of calibration, a new method of calibration is proposed in this paper. By this method, the accuracy of calibration is raised one order of magnitude without any additional measuring equipment. From experiment on measuring the phase jitter of an optic- fiber transmission system, we conclude that this method of phase comparison-conversion is one: good for phase jitter measurement.

This paper, after a brief descriptiong of the optic-fiber receiver, discuses the methods to be used to improve its sensitivity. The main points are:1. By introducing a parameter L, the high-impedance and the transimpedance receivers are combined into one circuit model;2. By introducing an additional noise parameter δ, the optimum noise expressions for the front-end amplifier of JFET and BJT (including super-β BJT) are derived, and the applicable frequency ranges of different types are evaluated respectively;3....
