This paper presents a new method of settlement analysis taking into consideration the influence of lateral deformation of foundation soils.The method is adaptable to homogeneous and nonhomogeneous soil foundations of hydraulic structures.In the paper,various experimental procedures for the determination of some indices defining the properties of soil compression are discussed.It has also been pointed out that in computing the stress distribution in nonhomo qeneous soil foundations,we can,according to the variation of these soil indices within founda tion,choose the appropriate formolas,corresponding to different“stress concentration factors”, for the evaluation of stresses.Stress tables for the vertical normal stress and the sum of the 3 principal stresses for rectangular and striping footings under various loading conditions and corresponding to different stress concentration factors are provided.In addition,a simplifying method for estimating the average settlement and angular rotation of rigid footing is discussed.  本文对于水工建筑物的均质和非均质土壤地基提供了一个考虑土壤侧向变形影响的沉降量计算方法。文中也讨论了一些代表土壤压缩性质的指标的测定方法,并且指出在计算非均质的土壤地基中的应力分布时,可以按照这些指标在地基中变化的情况去选择适当的应力计算公式。文中并附有适合于各种不同荷重和地基条件的矩形与条形基础应力表多种供设计者采用。此外对于刚性基础的平均沉降量和转动量也建议了简捷的估算方法。  In this paper, the problem for the determination of stress and deflection of a continuous orthogonal anisotropic rectangular plate has been solved, the plate being acted on by uniformly distributed load and being simply supported on all edges and on all intermediate line supports parallel to edges. The key to the solution is the derivation of an important formula which establishes a relation between any three unknown distributed moments of the plate at neighboring line supports and thus may be called... In this paper, the problem for the determination of stress and deflection of a continuous orthogonal anisotropic rectangular plate has been solved, the plate being acted on by uniformly distributed load and being simply supported on all edges and on all intermediate line supports parallel to edges. The key to the solution is the derivation of an important formula which establishes a relation between any three unknown distributed moments of the plate at neighboring line supports and thus may be called "three linesupports moment equation”. The method of derivation of this formula is first to solve the problem for the determination of stress and deflection of a single orthogonal anisotropic rectangular plate subjected to distributed moment on edges, then to use the result of analysis of a single orthogonal anisotropic rectangular plate subjected to uniformly distributed load, and finally by the use of condition of continuty of the continuous plate which procedure yields the "three linesupports moment equation”. By the use of this“three linesupports moment equation”the known distributed moments of the plate along all linesupports may be calculated. And the stress or deflection at any point of the continuous orthogonal anisotropic rectangular plate may be obtained by superposition. During the procedure of analysis the M. It is shown that the deviatoric tensor of stress can not be neglected, whereas the time dependent response of the soil skeleton to deviatoric stresses should be taken into account. On the base of his theory on the consolidation and flow of claylayers "the author presents an analysis on several two dimensional problems. It is shown that the total settlement may bo considored... Settlement formulas are presented for large values of time. It is concluded that settlements in practice can not be predicted merely from oedometer tests. The consolidation in two dimensional problems turns out to behave quite differently from that of the classical onedimensional case, as the soil can always deform laterally. The deviatoric stresses are responsible for the instantaneous deflection and the continuous flow of the clay mass.  本文指出現行的沉陷計算方法不考虑因均差应力(Deviatorie stresses)而产生的沉陷是不正确的。文中証明了均差应力張量不能忽略,而土壤的結構对均差应力的反应(与时間因素有关)则必須考虑。作者根据他自己的关于粘土層固結与流变的理論,提供几个二維問題的分析,証明了总沉陷可以分为三部分,卽瞬时下沉,因流变而产生的和因固結而产生的沉陷,并且提出了时間为很大数值时的沉陷公式。可以断言,在实际中,沉陷不能單从压縮試验来估計。在二維問題中,土壤的固结与古典的一維固結情形迥然不同,因为土壤总是有横向膨脹的。均差应力就是粘土在荷載下瞬时下沉(Instantaneous deflection)和不断流变的原因。   << 更多相关文摘
