Methods The results in 24 patients treated with the UHSEF were compared with those of internal fixation by plate (6 patients), plaster cast (26 patients) and traction (14 patients). Conclusion The UHSEF used for distal femoral fractures showed less operative trauma than internal fixation, more stable and more reliable than plaster cast and traction. The UHSEF is especially suitable for the comminuted fractures in distal femur.

Objective To report practical experience in treatment of displaced, comminuted fracture of the distal femur. Methods From Feb.1998 to Feb.1999, 9 patients of average age of 51.4 years old (33-83 years) with displaced, comminuted fracture of distal femur were treated by open reduction and internal fixation with retrograde intramedullary interlocking nailing. Results All patients were operated successfully with an anatomical reduction of the distal femoral fracture and stable internal fixation....

Objective To report practical experience in treatment of displaced, comminuted fracture of the distal femur. Methods From Feb.1998 to Feb.1999, 9 patients of average age of 51.4 years old (33-83 years) with displaced, comminuted fracture of distal femur were treated by open reduction and internal fixation with retrograde intramedullary interlocking nailing. After exercising about 10 days with continuous passive moving, they could flex knee over 90°. Eight cases could walk with crutches and load weight partly. Conclusions Retrograde intramedullary interlocking nailing is suitable for treating most femoral distal fractures.

目的 总结临床采用逆行交锁髓内钉技术治疗股骨远端移位粉碎性骨折的经验。 方法  1998年 2月~ 1999年 2月治疗股骨远端骨折 9例 ,平均年龄 5 1.4(33~ 83)岁。均在C形臂X线透视机下切开复位 ,行逆行交锁髓内钉内固定术。 结果  9例手术均获得成功 ,骨折端复位良好 ,内固定稳固。经使用CPM锻炼 1周半以后 ,均能无负重主动屈膝活动 90°以上。 2~ 3个月以后 ,8例可以扶拐下地 ,患肢部分负重。 结论 采用逆行交锁髓内钉内固定术治疗股骨远侧AO ASIF分类的A、C1、C2型骨折具有较好疗效 ,值得推广应用

Obiective To explore the new technologies of the treatment of the distal femoral fractures with comminuted, and to reduce the complications of the fractures. Double plates were served as the experimental groups. The conventional single -plate was served as the contral groups. The biomechanic tests(bending, torsion, compression) were peformed. Results Biomechanic test of the bending and torsion tests demonstrated that the double -plates groups were much stronger(P < 0. 01) than sigle - plate groups, in antibending and the antitorsion, It is stronger that the double plates, groups anti-compression than the sigle plate groups(P < 0. 05) . Conclusions we found that the doubleplates were an effective and technically undemanding method of treating distal femoral fractures, which could proved satisfactory reduction and fixed, good control of the interfragmentary, compression, relative simple procedure. The doubleplates groups were much stronger than single plate groups in antitorsion, bending and compression tests. The new methods could protect knee varus, knee valgul and other complications, advanced fractures healing.

目的 为探讨股骨远端粉碎性骨折治疗的新方法、减少其并发症。方法 本研究用10件成人鲜尸股骨,造成股骨远端髁间髁上粉碎性骨折,采用内侧聚乙烯板,外侧钢板双向固定,另取10件标本作单外侧钢板固定对照,分别作压缩、弯曲、扭转刚度的生物力学实验研究。结果 双向固定组,抗弯曲、扭转的应力显著增强(P<0.01),抗压缩应力的能力也较单侧固定组强(P<0.05)。结论 本研究发现,双向固定治疗股骨远端粉碎性骨折有明显的价值,利于满意复位,保护碎骨块,防止移位,操作容易。双板固定在生物力学方面有较好的抗弯曲、扭转和压缩应力。本新方法可帮助预防膝内、外翻等并发症,促进骨折愈合。
