A new optical fiber pressure sensing system for medical measuring is presented in this paper. The measuring of pressure at the denture basc-mucosal surface interface is performed by the pressure sensing system. The theoretical model, structure and properties of the optical fiber pressure sensor are specially discussed. The clinical test has been performed successfully.

The traditional way in the processing of complete denture has to be manual, low in efficiency and having high rejection rates. Quantitative tooth arrangement can realize perfect quality and high efficiency, applying robot aided processing system and employing computer aided design. A tooth arrangement algorithm has to be developed for such a system that can satisfy the requirements of complete denture preparation and represent the experience of oral restoration experts as accurately as possible....

The traditional way in the processing of complete denture has to be manual, low in efficiency and having high rejection rates. Quantitative tooth arrangement can realize perfect quality and high efficiency, applying robot aided processing system and employing computer aided design. A tooth arrangement algorithm has to be developed for such a system that can satisfy the requirements of complete denture preparation and represent the experience of oral restoration experts as accurately as possible. This paper introduces the concept of tooth arrangement method in a robot aided system of complete denture preparation developed by the authors, giving the relevant mathematical model. The results of an application example indicate that this method is logical and efficient.

研究使用计算机辅助设计和机器人辅助操作 ,实现全口义齿制作中的定量排牙 .根据口腔修复专家给出的全口义齿形态匹配数学模型和刚体的空间位姿变换原理 ,设计出符合口腔修复医学要求的排牙算法 ,同时融合了口腔修复专家的排牙经验 .该算法能够根据患者的无牙颌形态参数 ,计算出适合该患者的全口义齿中各人工散牙的相对位姿关系 .应用实例表明该算法合理有效

From its appearance, robot has been applied or being studied for being applied to most field of industrial production and daily living, even in oral surgery, there are researchers who are pursuing related robot applied study. But, in the making of full denture, it is still in manual way, we have not found any applied study until now. The traditional clinical operating process of full denture needs a series of complicated steps, the quality and working efficiency mainly depend on the dentist′s experiences...

From its appearance, robot has been applied or being studied for being applied to most field of industrial production and daily living, even in oral surgery, there are researchers who are pursuing related robot applied study. But, in the making of full denture, it is still in manual way, we have not found any applied study until now. The traditional clinical operating process of full denture needs a series of complicated steps, the quality and working efficiency mainly depend on the dentist′s experiences and dentistry technician′s skill, in general, only the combination of good dentist and high level technician could produce desirable full denture. We believe that it is realizable to develop a robot system to complete full denture making at the present condition of robot technique and another relative theory, such as artificial intelligence. The development of robot manufacturing system of full denture is a novel application attempt of robot technology in oral rehabilitation. The rich experiences of dentists and skilled technology of dentistry technicians are integrated into the expert software, and the complicated implanting work of false tooth will be completed by robot and its gripper. This system can automatically design and manufacture a set of full denture that is suitable for the patient according to his/her jaw shape. It will greatly change the manufacturing process of full denture, improving making quality and efficiency obviously. By the research work of this paper, we build the basic hardware structure for robot manufacturing system for full denture, make the three main software blocks for expert pre arrangement of teeth, 3D display, man machine interactive modification, control and communication, proceed system′s preliminary test, and realize system′s basic demands.

全口义齿机器人制作系统的研制是将机器人应用于口腔修复医学的一次大胆尝试 .它将口腔医生的丰富经验和牙科技师的熟练技术融合于专家系统软件中 ,并由机器人完成复杂的义齿种植的工作 .该系统可以根据患者的颌弓形状自动为患者设计和制作出一套适合的全口义齿 ,提高了全口义齿制作的质量和效率 .本文介绍了全口义齿机器人制作系统的硬件部分的基本结构 ,及专家预排、三维显示和人机交互式调整、轨迹规划和控制等软件模块 .完成了系统的初步试验 ,实现了系统的基本要求
