This paper discusses the differential error harmonic analysis method and the method for obtaining the actual error curves of testers. By the aid of electronic computers the analysis is much rapid and accurate. Through practical measuring analysis we get the conclusion that these methods are able to appraise the accuracy of gear-testers and gear-train measuring equipments accurately and the sources of errors can also he found. This gives the practical significance for its wide applications.

This article gives an account of the harmonic analysis method of disturbing torque caused by the variations in gas pressure in the diesel engine cylinder, with special emphasis on some problems in the harmonic analysis of the measurement or the theoretical indicatordiagram— influence of top dead center deviation, zero line wander, number of abscissa and the treatment of simplifying indicator diagram on analysis.
