Our home-made high-efficlent nebulizer is used instead of the nebulizer in WYX-401 Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer, the construction of the mixing chamber is also modified. The characteristic concentration of aluminium being determined by flame AAS is achie ed to 0.59μg/ ml(1% absorption). A procedure for the determination of acid-dissol ed aluminium in steel and iron is de eloped. The method is rapid, simple, sens tive and accurate. The aluminium can be determined even down to 0.005%.

The molar absorption wavelength occurs at 600 nm. The molar absorp-tion coefficient is 5. 6×10~4. The composition ratio of this complex is V(Ⅴ): 3,5-Br_2-DMPAP: H_2O_2=1:1:1.
