A new fundamental method for formulating bending plates elements-thequasi-conforming element method is presented in this paper.All the elements formulated according to this method are assured to be convergent in the analysis. Moreover, this method is simple, easy to use and less computation is needed as well.The stiffness matrices of three types of bendinj plate elements are given in explicit form in the paper.

In this paper, a model test of a space structure composed of rib-plate elements was presented. Tests were performed under five different conditions. (1) uniformly distributed normal loads, (2) uniformly distributed vertical loads through joints,(3) horizontal loads on one side, (4)simultaneous settlement of two diagonal extreme suppors,(5)relative lateral displacement of supports along the span,Test results indicated that the cross ribs played an important role in sustaining moments. The plates work as a part of the whole space structure did reveal great potentiality in resisting axial forces, which had been completely ignored in the current design practice.The tests also proved that such a type of structure possessing a greaty rigidity was highly safe and reliable, which could be used as one of more economical long-span space structures in the future prospect. In this paper, further discussions on analytical methods and structure construction were also given.

本文对板架结构的大型模型试验作了阐述。试验共分法向均布荷载、竖向均布荷载、半边水平荷载(模拟水平地震荷载)、对角支座同向沉陷及支座沿跨度方向的相对水平位移等五种情况。 试验、分析表明,整个结构主要依靠斜向肋条承担弯矩,而作为结构一部分的壳板却表现出具有抵抗较大轴向力的能力,这一潜力在现行设计中却往往被忽视。分析还表明结构是安全可靠的,且具有较大刚度,是一种很有发展前途的空间结构。文中对计算方法作了详细的评述,最后对结构的施工作了简要的介绍。

In this paper the transverse shear deformation energy of 8-node Isoparamatric plate element is regarded as the penalty-function by which kirchhoff-assumption is satisfied, choosing the suitable penalty-factor in order that the proportion of transverse shear deformation energy to bending deformation energy always remains at a moderate value regardless of the ratio of the length of the element to its thickness, the numerical accuracy of this element for thin plates can be improved.

本文把八点等参板单元的横向剪切应变能看作实现克希霍夫假设的罚函数。适当地选择惩罚因子,使横向剪切应变能与弯曲应变能始终保持适当的比例,不随单元边长与厚度的比值而改变,就可提高该单元在计算薄板时的精度。
