In order to enhance the credibility and safety degree of anti cavitation design and to reduce the difficulty of construction, on the basis of analyzing on the examples of high speed flow flood releasing structures at home and abroad, in combination with the actual conditions of Gongboxia hydropower project, we used the hydraulics model experiment and optimal design and adopted the aeration facilities to guarantee the full aeration in the bottom of high speed water flow so that it prevents from cavitation.

Under the present experimental condition, the effect of sediment concen- tration on the form, and on the mean rate of cavitation damage of concrete specimens and other typical brittle materials is not obvious. It can be seen that concrete with strength of about 300kg/cm2 has already sufficient cavitation resistance. 3. The effect of sediment concentration on the intensity of charactristic cavi- tation pits of metals is not significant. In engineering practice, it is very simple to use sureface hardness of metals as an index for the cavitation resistance.

The unsteady Darcy flow and the Darcy flow in composite reservoirs through porous medium, double medium and triple medium are special cases of their own.It is realized from long time asymptotic solutions that there are two steps at the pressure curve of triple medium, one step at the pressure curve of double medium, and no step at the pressure curve of porous medium. The pressure curve will become T-shaped when the production of oil well is very high.
