Recently, progress has been made in the Generalized Multi-Protocol Label Switching (GMPLS) and Automatic Switched Optical Networks (ASON) standardizations.
      
Currently, this novel provisioning paradigm is being standardized under the umbrella of the automatic switched optical network (ASON) and generalized multiprotocol label switching (GMPLS) framework.
      
In automatic switched transport networks (ASTN), transport services of different granularity can be set up, modified and released on demand using the mechanisms in the control plane.
      
The nonlinear instabilities appearing in the solution in the narrow shock region have been damped by applying the automatic switched Shuman-filter method.
      
In order to preserve second or higher order accuracy in these regions, an automatic switched Shuman filter is constructed.
      


First the paper points out that the emergence of automatic switched optical network is a breakthrough for transport network concept. Then, the paper presents generic considerations on logical architecture, control plane, signalling requirements, network management capabilities and requirements, network performance requirements and characteristics for this new transport network. Finally, the ITU-Tstandards frame on automatic switched optical network is presented , too.

本文首先指出自动交换光网络的出现是传送网概念的重大历史性突破 ,然后阐述了这种新传送体制的总体逻辑结构、控制平面、信令要求、网管能力和要求、网络性能要求和特点等总体问题的考虑 ,最后简要介绍了ITU T关于自动交换光网络的标准化框架。

Automatic Switched Optical Network (ASON) is a concept proposed recently by ITU-T to construct a dynamic transport network. In this paper we present an overview of the ASON architectures, control plane issues, control protocols and the relationship between ASON control plane and the Generalized Multi-Protocol Label Switching (GMPLS) architecture. The differences between ASON and Optical Internetwork are also addressed.

为适应网络动态化的要求,国际电信联盟标准化组织(ITU-T)提出了自动交换光网络(ASON)的概念。文章对ASON的网络总体结构、控制层面组成、控制协议及其与广义多协议标签交换(GMPLS)结构的关系作了概要的描述,并对ASON和光互联网进行了比较。

As the key apparatus in ASON(automatic switched optical networks), the tunable all optical wavelength conversion device plays a very important role. 作为自动交换光网络中的核心器件 ,全光波长转换器在网络中发挥着重要作用。总结了全光波长变换的实现方法 ,并重点介绍基于半导体光放大器交叉相位调制和利用可调谐光纤光栅外腔半导体激光器实现全光波长变换的最新进展、工作原理 ,最后简单介绍本实验室目前所做工作以及取得的成果。
