In relation to the graft copolymerization of cellulose using Ce4+ as catalyst, the mechanism of cellulose oxidation and the reaction sites on the cellulose macromolecular chain in Ce4+-H2O-cellulose system were studied.From the experimental data concerning the rate of reduction of Ce4+ to Ce3+ in aqueous solution, the photosensitive character of this system has been confirmed.From the rates of oxidation of cellulose and its related model compounds, such as hydrocellulose, cellobiose, dialdehydecellulose, glucose and methylglucoside, as determined in eerie salt solution, the kinetics of cellulose oxidation may be represented by the following equation:where [Ⅰ]0, [Ⅱ]0 and [Ⅲ]0 are the initial concentrations of the functional groups of type Ⅰ, Ⅱ2 and Ⅲ, and kⅠ, kⅡ and kⅢ are their reaction rate constants respectively.By determining and comparing the rate constants of the same type but of different cellulose model compounds, it was found that the values of k for the same functional group are approximately equal irrespective of the model compounds to which the particular type of functional group is attached. It was also confirmed that there are at least three oxidation sites on a cellulose macromolecular chain. The sites of greater and medium reactivity are the aldehyde group and 5,6-glycol unit of the terminal anhydroglucose unit respectively. The least reactive site is the hydroxyl groups attached to the third position of the rest of anhydroglucose rings. Though the value of km is very small, nevertheless, the reaction of third position should not be neglected for the number of such hydroxyl groups is great.When cellulose is oxidized by eerie salt, it was found that one mole of terminal aldehyde group or 5,6-glycol unit consumes two moles of eerie salt and was finally converted into new aldehyde group. Cellulose free radical formed as an intermediate product initiates the graft copolymerization. Hence, it may be assumed that the copolymer of cellulose obtained by Ce4+ initiation is possibly a graft-block complex copolymer.

Five lignan compounds,sehisantherin A(I_a),B(II_a), C(III_a),D(IV_a)and E(V_a)have been isolated from the fruits of Hua-Zhong-Wu-Wei-Zi(Schisandra sphenantheraRehd et Wils)(Magnoliaceae).In preliminary clinical trials,schisantherin A,B,Cand D showed signifieant effect in lowering the serum glutamie pyruvic transaminase(SGPT)level of the patients suffering from chronic virus hepatitis.The same effect has also been observed in experimental abnormal high SGPTlevel animals induced by carbon tetrachloride.The physical properties and the NMR data of sohisantherin A,B,C,D and E aregiven in Tab.1 and 2.The structure of schisantherin A reported previously is revised as follows,namelythe position of methylenedioxy group should be at 12,13(as I_a or I_b)instead of at 13,14,based on the following evidences,i.e.the studies of I_a and its related compoundson nuclear Overhauser effect(NOE)(Tab.3 and 4),solvent effect of methoxy protons(Tab.5) and chemical degradations (Chatt I).For the same reason,the publishedstructures of γ-schisandrin and wuweizisu C should be VI and VII respectively.Thestructures of schisantherin B,C,D and E are established as II_a,III_a,IV_a and V_arespectively,whose conformations(shown as II_b, III_b, IV_b and V_b respectively) werethe same as schisantherin A(I_b).When this work was finished,a communication on the chemistry of gomisia A,B,and C isolated from Schisandra chinensis Baill was published by Japanese chemists.It seems tha~+, gomisin B and C may be identical with schisantherin B and Arespectively,but schisantherin C,D and E have never been reported in the literatureso far.

Two major fractions from the elua-tes of gel filtration of Sephadex G-10, "13" and "29" containing materials with affinity for opiate receptors have been extracted from human brains. Based on chromatographic feature and preliminary chemical investigations, fraction "13" was found probably to be an enkephalin or its related compound. Fraction "29" arbitrarily named "Kephinin", showed several properties characeteristic of opiates. The Rf values of high-voltage electrophoresis and thin layer chromatography of "Kephinin" were different from those of leucine-enkepha-in. It inhibited the twitch tension of the electrically stimulated mouse vas-deferens, and this inhibition was rever sed and blocked by the opiate antagonis naloxone. It showed analgesic effect in rabbits during ventriculo-injections, and this effect could be reversed by naloxone. "Kephinin" interacted wit opiate receptors and inhibited the stereo specific binding of tritum-labelled dihydromorphine to synaptic membranes from rat brain. No activity of "Kephinin" was detected when it was incubated with chymotrypsin at 37℃. "Kephinin" was found not only in the human brain but also in the brains of rats and rabbits. It is probably that "Kephinin" is a new peptide with the activity of morphine like substance.

我院针刺麻醉原理的研究是多学科协作进行的。从1975年开始,对内啡肽及其与针刺镇痛的关系进行了多方西的探索。我们在这里选载的一组关于针麻原理研究的论文和报导,就是这一课题研究的初步成果。主要包括。(1)从人及动物脑内提取到一种具有抗痛作用的吗啡样物质,它可能是一种新的内啡肽;(2)用纳洛酮等阿片受体阻断剂作为分析手段,以动物的行为反应、皮层诱发电活动、肢体血管容积及生化反应(脑内cAMP水平)等为指标,从受体的研究水平上来说明针刺镇痛和针刺抗内脏牵拉反应同内啡肽有关;(3)测定人脑脊液及动物脑内中央灰质淡流液中的内啡肽含量,观察到针刺镇痛时脑内内啡肽释放增加。从而,就在神经细胞突触前和突触后这样的水平上初步揭示了内啡肽系统同针刺镇痛的关系。 几年来,我们还同兄弟单位协作,围绕着脑内有关抗痛的结构、物质、功能系统等中心课题,通过大量动物实验和临床观察,证明脑内的尾核是针刺镇痛中起着重要作用的一个环节,尾核内的胆碱能神经细胞的活动参与针刺镇痛过程。此外,对尾核和脑内其他有关结构的形态同功能的联系以及尾核内一些已知递质在针刺镇痛中的作用等方面,都进行了一定的观察和研究,有关论文将另行选登。
