The electromagnetic parameters computed from the measured S parameters show that the material with metallic hollow spheres has as high relative permeability μ'r as 19.0 with about 0.6 magnetic loss tangent over the whole bandwidth. Compared to the material with non-metallic spheres, the permeability μ'r and the magnetic loss tangent μ." increase greatly, while the permittivity remains lower than 1.8.

Epoxy(EP)/nano-SiO_2/hollow-microsphere composites were prepared with micron hollow micro-sphere and nano-SiO_2 as fillers. The influence of hollow micro-sphere content on the tensile properties and impact properties of composites were studied, and the fracture model of composites was observed by SEM. Meanwhile, the heat-shielding performance of composites was discussed. The results showed that the addition of nano-SiO_2 and hollow micro-sphere could increase the tensile strength and impact strength. When the content of nano-SiO_2 was 3% and hollow micro-sphere was 10%, the mechanical properties of composites was optimal. When the content of hollow micro-sphere rose continuously, the tensile strength and impact strength of composites would decrease in some degree while modulus of elasticity in tension would increase slightly. Furthermore, the addition of hollow micro-sphere made brittleness increase and toughness decrease, but the heat shielding performance improved.

It is argued that heat transfer mainly includes the thermal conduction between the solid and the gas, the thermal radiation among the hollow micro-sphere surfaces, and the natural thermal convection of the gas in the hollow micro-spheres. Then, a theoretical model of the heat transfer in the composites is established based on the laws of the minimal thermal resistance and the specific equivalent thermal conductivity. An equation for the equivalent thermal conductivity (keff) is derived, by which the equivalent thermal conductivity of the polypropylene composites filled with hollow micro-spheres is estimated. The obtained results are finally compared with the numerically simulated ones. It is concluded that the estimated equivalent thermal conductivity is of the same variation as the simulated one at a lower filler content ((?)f≤20% , volume fraction), and that the equivalent thermal conductivity linearly decreases with the increase of the filler content as well as with the increase of the filler size at a constant filler content.

分析了中空微球填充聚合物复合材料的传热机理,指出其热传递主要以固体和气体的热传导、中空微球表面之间的热幅射和中空微球内气体的自然对流三种方式进行. 基于最小热阻力法则和比等效导热系数相等法则,建立了热量传递的理论模型,并推导出了等效导热系数的计算式.应用该式估算了中空微球填充聚丙烯复合材料的等效导热系数(keff),并将其与数值模拟结果进行比较,发现当中空微球含量不高((?)f≤20%(体积分数))时,等效导热系数的理论估算值和数值模拟值的变化趋势相似.随着中空微球含量增加,等效导热系数线性递减.当中空微球含量一定时,等效导热系数随着中空微球粒径的增加而有所下降.
