When the molar ratio of DDS/NaOH equal to 1:2.5 the hydrolysis will be completed. The contents of 4, 4'-dihydroxydiphenylsulphone and 4, 4'-dichlorodiphenylsulphone in 4-chloro, 4-hydroxydiphenylsulphone were determined. Then according to analytical results, 4, 4'-dichlorodiphenylsulphone was added to the system of the copolycondensatibn at different molar...

    4-chloro, 4-hydroxydiphenylsulphone was prepared by the hydrolysis of 4,4'-dichlorodiphenylsulphone with sodium hydroxide in the presence of the solvent DMSO. Reactivity of the sodium phenoxide-end-group is (Ⅱ)>(Ⅰ), while reactivity of the chloride-end-group is (Ⅲ)>(Ⅰ).In the copolycondensation the difference in molar ratio of the three monomers has noticeable effect not only on the initial copolycondensation rate, but also on the properties of polymer obtained, and in case of (Cl)/(OH)> 1 the polymer obtained will possess best properties.

    The properties of concretes can be greatly imProved by the addition of po- lymers.Polymers may be incorporated in concrete in two ways:either added to the unhardened concrete slurry or impregnated into the void structure of the hardened concrete.The preparations、types and properties of polymers as well as their reaction mechanisms and applications in both categories of Port- land cement concrete mentioned above have been discussed in this paper.
