Effects of moving times and stubble height on kentucky bluegrass turf established in 1992 were studied in Science Garden Field of China Agricultural University in 1996. Total 6 mowing treatments were applied to kentucky bluegrass turf by 2 mowing times × 3 stubble heights. Mowing times were once and twice per week, and stubble heights were 8、6 and 4cm. The results showed that lower turf grass growth speed, higher tiller number per area and bigger tiller diameter, good turf uniform and lower reproducive tiller could be attained by using high mowing frequency and low stubble height treatments. This data provided that high mowing frequency and low stubble height could be used for improving kentucky bluegrass turf quality in many respects. The grass underground biomass could be increased by high mowing frequency treatment. It also proved that kentucky bluegrass was one of the turf grass to tolerate mowing. The turf green colour was reduced because of the mat of dead tissues at the base of stem appearing by low stubble height treatment.

1996年夏季在中国农业大学科学园区对建植4年的草地早熟禾进行了刈割频率和刈割留茬高度对草坪质量指标及影响的试验。结果表明,在每周一次和两次刈割、分别留茬8cm、6cm、4cm的范围内,高频率(每周两次)低留茬高度可减缓草地早熟禾的生长速率,增加草坪单位面积的分蘖数和分蘖枝条的粗壮度,提高草坪的整齐度,减少生殖时期的生殖枝数,从多方面改善草坪质量;低茬刈割使枯草层外露,降低了草坪颜色深度,也影响了草坪的质量;高频率刈割增加了地下生物量的积累,证明草地早熟禾是一种耐刈割的草坪草。

It was showed that appling CCC can reduce the tall fescue turf growth rate. With the increasing of the CCC concentrarion, the tall fescue turf growth rate decreased intensitively, and the tall fescue turf underground biomass and disease resistance improved intensitively. Lower and middle concentrations of CCC improved the tall fescue turf greenness and uniformity, and high concentrtion of CCC inhibited the greenness and uniformity. Using 200μg/g CCC was better for tall fescue turf quality. Appling PP333 can reduce the tall fescue turf growth rate also, and improve underground biomass and the disease resistance, restrain tillering, and harm for the turf greenness and uniformity.
