The AES has been used to study the composition of the anodic oxide film on 1Cr18Ni9 stainless steel. The AES has been used to study the composition of the anodic oxide film on 1Cr18Ni9 stainless steel. The film was formed in the transpassive region during the constant potential anodic polarization in H_2SO_4 and after a treatment with Na_2MoO_4. It has been found that the outer layer of the film contains a lot of Mo and the middle layer is rich in Cr. The concentration of oxygen in the rest of the layer up to the interface rapidly reduces to zero. The middle layer in the transpassive anodic oxide film which is rich in Cr is more wider and oxidized more complete than that in HNO_3 oxide film. By comparison with other oxide films, the possible mechanisms for passivation of transpassive anodic polarization are discussed.

The analyses of Auger electron spectra show that V films contain a greater amount of oxygen and canbon and that the oxygen peak in the interior of the V film is much lower than that at the surface. The superconducting transition temperatures of V films, Tc, have been measured and the maximum Tc is 4.35 K. The transition temperatures of V films are proportional to the ratio of the resistances, (ρ300-ρr)/ρ300. In this paper we emphasize that there are two important factors for preparing V films with Tc greater than 4K even if the vacuum is as poor as 1×10-5 torr during the deposition. One is keeping the substrate temperature at higher temperature. The other is that before the deposition the pre-evaporation should be done for several times to reduce the partial pressure of the residual gas O2 in the vacuum chamber.

The composition changes of oxide films on Fe-Cr alloys were investigated by EPMA. Results are as following:When a Fe-15Cr alloy is oxidized at 1000℃ in air, the of-concentration of of Cr ions in the surface layer of oxide film increases gradually from 35.3 wt.% after 1h to 63.0wt% after 40h, while that of Fe ions decreases from 30.9wt.% to 2.21 wt.% after the same periods.The of-concentration ofs of Cr ions close towards stoichiometric composition of Cr_2O_3.When a Fe-15Cr-0.3Ce alloy is oxidezed at 1000℃ in air for 1h, three type of different regions can be observed in the surface of oxide film. The first type of region is bright,containing 0.66 wt.% Ce, and the contents of Cr and Fe are 34.4 and 28.1 wt% respectively, which are similar to that of Fe-15Cr alloy. The second type of region is dark, containing 2.09wt.% Ce, the contents of Cr and Fe are 56.4 and 4.57 wt.% respetively, and many fine particles of Ce rich oxide are dsittributed over the whole region. The third type of region is Fe rich and Ce oxide hillocks which is the initial oxidation product of Fe-Ce phase present at the alloy surface. Owing to presence of the hillocks, the total quantity of Fe rich oxide in the surface layer of the film is not less than that on Fe-15Cr alloy. As oxidation is going on, the compositions of all three regions are close to that of Cr_2O_3.When the two alloys are oxidized at 1100℃, the characteristics of changes in composition of surface layers of films are similar to that at 1000℃. However, Cr rich oxide films are formed quite quickly on both Fe-30Cr and Fe-30Cr-0.2Ce alloys oxidized at 1200℃ in air. For instance, the surface layers of their films contain 62.7 wt.% Cr, 1.62 wt.% Fe and 61.9 wt.% Cr, 2.35 wt.% Fe, 0.26 wt.% Ce respectively after 0.1h.When the oxidation period is prolonged, on Fe-15Cr and Fe-30Cr alloys degradation of Cr rich oxide films appeare and the amount of Fe rich oxides increases which exist in the form of surface layer on the film or blocks inside the film or nodules.However, the residual Cr rich oxide is quite pure,the of-concentration ofs of Cr and Fe ion are always more than 61.0 wt.% and less than 1.0 wt.% respectively. Ce can inhibit stronly the occurrence of above-mentioned Fe rich oxide, but can not decrease the of-concentration of of Fe ions dissolved in Cr rich oxide.Ce ions are enriched in the surface layers of the Cr rich oxidefilm. The of-concentration of of Ce-ions in the surface layer of oxde film of Fe-15Cr-0.3Ce alloy oxidized at 1100℃ for 40h and Fe-30Cr-0.2Ce alloy oxidized at 1200℃ for 100h are 1.19 and 0.77wt.%,but in the middle of their films are 0.03 and 0.12 wt.% respectively.

电子探针微区分析表明,经1000℃(或1100℃)氧化1小时后,Fe-15Cr合金的氧化膜表层为均匀的铁-铬氧化物;Fe-15Cr-0.30Ce合金的氧化膜表层则密布富铬氧化物。此二合金继续氧化时,氧化膜表层都逐渐成为均匀的富铬氧化物,成份与Cr_2O_3接近。在1200℃氧化的Fe-30Cr和Fe-30Cr-0.2Ce合金表面,富铬氧化膜形成迅速,0.1小时后,膜表面的成份已与Cr_2O_3相近。长时间氧化后,两种无铈合金的富铬氧化膜减少,富铁氧化物增多,但铁离子在富铬氧化物中的固溶浓度低于1wt%。在两种含铈合金的氧化膜中,铈离子在表层的浓度比表层以下高一个数量级。
