This article introduces a method determining the equation of penetration curve for tungsten and molybdenum by multi-element regression in study of double glow discharge plasma metallizing, then, the slope of the penetration curve at a given point can be calculated. By integration, the can be obtained easily, and D xdy can be calculated. This method is more reliable and more accurate than graphical integration. The variations of D with the concentrations of tungsten and molybdenum are determined.

On the basis of a series of rational andacceptable assumptions and simplifications, a set of pantal differential equations foratomic fluxes were contracted and solved to describe the surface alloying process, andto predict the evolution of depth-concentration profile of the alloying element. Thetheoretical prediction is in accordance with the experimental results of samples.
