In this paper, the finite element analysis of seepage flow of earth dams is stated and a solving method for the falling of free surface taken as discharge supply boundary condition in unsteady flow is proposed. By Galerkin's method, the computing eqs. (34)、(35) by finite element method for unsteady seepage flow of earth darns and eqs. (36)、 (37) by finite element method for steady seepage flow of earth dams in either case of existing or no groundwater flow toward downstream are given. In connection with finite element analysis the method using middle lines of trianqular elements for computing discharge is introduced and its computing eq. (40) is given. Based on the concept of seepage force, the slope stability analysis utilizing the original divided elements is introduced and the computing eqs. (45)、(50)、(51) for ordinary circular sliding method are givem. To adjoin the charateristics for computing the seepage flow of earth dams, some explanations for computer program are described by which the determinations of seepage free surface and exit point, the discharge passing through sloping blanket and how to supply the free surface just beneath as well as how to realize the slope sliding stability analysis are primarily introduced. Finally some practical examples are given and their computing results with that of electric analogy and observation data in nature are compared.

Features of macrofractures in en echelon type ware exposed in a fault zone(also a site of slope sliding)and the microcracks of the intact rocks were examined and described in this paper.The later was carried on through the observation under polarized microscope.In addition,the results of model studies in order to interpret the formation and development meat of the fractues in comparison with en echelon microcracks are given too.

Then the finite element method directly applied to stability analysis of earth dams under seepage flow is proposed and the computation formulas for sliding surfaces of single arc and composite arcs are given.In order to justify this method and its computer program we have computed six actual earth dams and two model dams that had occured slope sliding...

In this paper, it begins with fundamental concept of seepage force and points out the questions existing in the usual method of slices for stability analysis. Then the finite element method directly applied to stability analysis of earth dams under seepage flow is proposed and the computation formulas for sliding surfaces of single arc and composite arcs are given.In order to justify this method and its computer program we have computed six actual earth dams and two model dams that had occured slope sliding with certain hydraulic condition. The results of computation have verified that those dams should be failed and the most dangerous sliding positions as well as the hydraulic conditions are almost same with that occured in actual dams. On the other side, the computation results by the usual method of slices could not completely verify what the failure in actual cases must be happen. Thus this F. E. M. has been proved that it is more reliable and simpler than others.

本文从渗透力的基本概念出发。在指出作为常规坝坡稳定分析的条分法存在的问题后,提出结合渗流分析,直接用有限单元法进行坝坡稳定分析,开给出了单一圆弧和复会圆弧滑动面的计算公式。为了验证计算方法和编制的程序的正确性,我们对六个发生滑坡的土坝进行调查分析并在实验室内进行水力模型试验,试验和分析计算都得出了将要发生滑坡事故的结论,而且出现的最危险滑弧位置和水力条件也和实际情况甚为一致。然而按照常规条分法计算分析却不能得出各土坝滑坡的肯定结论,这就说明了本文论证的有限单元分析方法的准确性和可靠性。
