Accordingly, the best program of aberration correction and tolerences in the case where certain aberration constants are inevitably present and others are adjustable in optical design can be obtained. The results so obtained as applied to aberrations of small magnitude comparable to λ/4 conform well to the Strehl Deffinitionshelligkeit method.

本文描述了三种基于衍射理论(或称为衍射基)的光学系统质量指标作为透镜自动设计的价值函数的方法。这三种指标是:1.波差方差;2.波差导数;3.几何光学传递函数。得到了简化计算的相应公式。实践证明,这种价值函数不但可用于象差平衡的开始阶段,更可用于象差的精细校正过程,以获得象差的最佳平衡方案。
