Based on the tectonic subsidence and buried depth of Caledonian weathered crust, it is suggested that the tectonic subsidence was harmonious and the burial was uniform during the Late Paleozoic but inhomogeneous and differential during the Mesozoic, and the middle Yanshan movement was most important for the tectonic deformation of Paleozoic and the formation of gas reservoirs within Paleozoic strata was controlled by this movement.

鄂尔多斯盆地北部古生代加里东期后的构造演化在总体上呈稳定、继承性发展,但于不同时期或不同区块,在古生代内幕构造形态及变迁演化上又存在一定的差异。从加里东风化面后期构造沉降和埋藏的演化规律可以看出,该构造演化存在时间上的阶段性和形态上的迁移性,表现为晚古生代时期的均衡沉降和均匀埋藏,中生代则有差异沉降和埋藏上的分异性,燕山中幕的构造变动最为重要和突出,造成了古生代盆地形态的重大变化。这也是古生界天然气运聚的重要时期,对天然气的形成、聚集具有重要的控制作用。
