The material near the surface is in a plane-stress condition and that at the bottom in a plane-strain condition. The fracture toughness of the material at the crack front near the surface of the plate is higher than that at the bottom. Whether the influence of a weld toe crack on the static strength is greater than lhat of a surface crack on flat plate remains a question. In this paper, Wide plate tensile test were performed. Attachments with different stiffness were welded on to 37SiMnCrbioV high strength steel specimens. The cracks(a/2c=0.05, 0.1; a/t=0.2, 0.4)were cut by electric spark method at the toe of fillet weld. Experiments were also made on wide plate specimens without welded-on attachments for comparison. It is shown that the influence of the weld foe crack on the static strength(pop-in)of 37SiMnCrMoV steel plate with welded-on attachments is greater than that of a surface crack of the samesize on a flat plate, if the crack size is so large that the fracture stress is below yelding point. In this paper, the transient response of the dynamic-tear-test specimens under impact loading is analyzed by means of dynamic photoelasticity. The specimens are mechined from CR-39 plate with thickness of about 3/8 inch. From 16 photographs of fracture process recorded by multiple-spark camera, the isoehromatie pattern and crack length of each moment are obtained. So the dynarnie stress intensity factors and crack velocities are obtained. In the experimental techniques, the problem of measurement of impact loading is investigated. In the data processing, the solution of stress field near a running crack tip is used and data detecting method was improved, The author also propased and realized a method of replacing starter crack by a round hole with which very fast crack propagation can be gained under lower impact loading, The relationship between dynamic stress intensity factor and crack velocity of CR-39 meterial is determined.

本文用动光弹方法分析了动态张开型试件在冲击载荷作用下的瞬态反应。从多火花动态光弹仪记录下来的16幅断裂过程的照片上,同时得到了各时刻的等差线图形和裂纹长度。从而得出了动态应力强度因子和裂纹扩展速度。在数据处理方面,使用了运动裂纹尖端近旁应力场解,改进了取数方法。作者还提出並实现了以圆孔代替初裂纹在小载荷下取得较高的速度的破纹的方法。测定了CR—39材料的动态应力强度因子与裂纹扩展速度之间的关系。
