Experimental results show that when the signal to noise ratio in the channel is low and varying, and the noise parameters are difficult to calculate, this MA code can exploit the information contained in the input data effectively. As long as the raw bit error rate (BER), which is defined as the BER after global optimum threshold quantization, is around 4×10 -2 the output BER of the 8×10 MA code is equivalent to that of traditional 1∶2 modulation code (both codes have the similar code rate). For the raw BER lower than 1×10 -2 the MA code exhibits obvious advantage over the 1∶2 modulation code. Using these techniques, a preliminary experiment has been conducted to store and successfully replay multimedia data including video and audio information.

Based on the current Viterbi detector (VD) scheme for the detection of data encoded with a 6∶8 constant weight modulation code in the holographic storage channel, an effective Viterbi detector (known as a PVD) scheme is proposed to improve raw bit-error rate (BER) performance by mitigating the occurrence of a two-bit reversing error event. Simulation results show that using a 3-bit quantizer, the PVD scheme can provide an improvement of 3.4 dB over the VD scheme at BER=10~(-3)....

Simulation results show that using a 3-bit quantizer, the PVD scheme can provide an improvement of 3.4 dB over the VD scheme at BER=10~(-3). Otherwise, the program for the PVD scheme with a very high speed integrated circuit hardware description language is verified by the MAX+PlusⅡ (multiple array matrix and programmable logic user system Ⅱ) with a better effect, which lays a foundation for the realization of the PVD scheme by a complex programmable logic device.

基于现有的在全息存储通道中使用的6∶8等重调制码的维特比检测器(Viterbidetector,VD)方案,提出了一种能显著地降低2码元交换错误事件发生率的VD方案(称之为PVD方案).仿真实验结果显示,与原VD方案相比,使用3比特量化器的PVD方案,在原始误码率为10-3处能获取3.4dB的检测增益.此外,在软件平台MAX+PlusⅡ上验证了用硬件描述语言设计的PVD方案,为使用复杂可编程逻辑器件实现PVD方案奠定了基础.
